Silver Lining Lounge

An intimate, dreamlike cocktail and cabaret lounge on the ground floor of Moxy Lower East Side, Tao Group’s collaboration with creative directors Dylan Hales and Ronnie Flynn is a sultry nocturnal destination ensconced in deep, mysterious shades of blue, black, and gold with ethereal touches of silver. The interior design was inspired in part by Andy Warhol’s Silver Factory, a downtown loft that the artist transformed into an immersive sculpture with silver paint, aluminum foil, and pieces of broken mirror.

Warhol famously called the Silver Factory his “Studio of Hope,” covering everything in foil and silver paint to create light and reflect the activity happening highlighting his achievements even on the darkest days. Silver Lining was born out of the darkest days of the COVID-19 shutdown when everyone was clinging to even the slightest glimmers of hope —the name became the thing.

Jacque designed the logo and brand system to feel at home in the heady haze of late nights on the Bowery where you never know who might turn up and take the mic.
